The International Young Farmers’ Exchange Program is an international South-North-Dialogue with a strong emphasis on capacity building of young farmers from Uganda and Germany. It includes a 3 months practical internship program on German farms with seminar & workshop sessions for young farmers in Uganda who would want to have exposure and further understanding of Global Farms and Food Systems especially in Germany. While German young farmers also come and are hosted on Ugandan farms to learn about tropical agriculture and its challenges and opportunities in the Ugandan context. The qualifying Ugandan participants have an all-expenses paid 3 months stay in Germany by Schorlermer Foundation of the German Farmers’ Association (DBV) with special support from the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
