Friends, Partners, and Members,
Cordial greetings from the Young Farmers’ Federation of Uganda,
As we come to the close of this year 2020 which has been quite eventful, we appreciate your support and guidance. This year has pushed us to think outside the box as we shape the future of farming. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been able to conduct a number of activities, both online and offline.
We were able to quickly adapt to the ‘new normal’ by organizing the Online Youth4Food Security Competition, we conducted a membership survey to have a better understanding of our members and also put in place a new leadership for young farmers’ from the grassroots to the national board, the International Young Farmers’ Exchange Program which saw us adjust to online and offline activities to keep the participants fully engaged, the Farm Succession Manual was also developed and a number of other activities. We also had new partnerships come onboard.
We are grateful to you for the collaboration you have offered us in these unprecedented times and we look forward to more collaborations and achievements in the new year.
We break off today, December 23rd 2020, and will resume on January 4th 2021.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
